How to Measure
How to provide measurements:
Professional measurements are recommended to avoid error. Please double or triple check measurements and do not ESTIMATE as to what size you HOPE to be by your wedding day, this will cause the dress not to fit properly!
Bust - Not your bra size. Take the tape around your back and bring it across the fullest part of your bust. Your arms should be relaxed, down at your sides. You must wear a bra when taking this measurement.
Waist - This is the smallest part of your waist. Typically it's an inch or so above your belly button. Also known as the natural waistline.
Hips - This is the fullest part around both your butt and hips. Measurement should be taken approximately 8 inches below the natural waistline.
Height - Your height from head to floor straight down your back. This measurement should include the height of shoes similar to the height you plan on wearing on your wedding day. Even if you plan to wear flat shoes, do not take your measurements barefoot unless you will actually be barefoot for your wedding.
Hollow to hem - Start the tape at the hollow of your neck between your collarbone and measure straight down the front of your body to where you want the hem to fall. This measurement should include the height of shoes similar to the height you plan on wearing on your wedding day. Even if you plan to wear flat shoes, do not take your measurements barefoot unless you will actually be barefoot for your wedding.
Size - Average dress size (4,6,8,etc)
If your dress has straps or sleeves, please be sure to also include the following measurements:
Shoulder to shoulder - The measurement across your back from the edge of one shoulder to the other.
Shoulder circumference - The circumference measurement around your shoulders as if wrapping a shawl - 2"-3" above your bust line, not across your bust line.
Sleeve Length - The measurement from the top of your arm to where you want the sleeves to end.
Arm Girth - This is the largest part of your upper arm with your arms relaxed by your side.
Provide all measurements in inches while rounding to the nearest half inch.
